Gospel Greens

Gospel Greens is the gardening portion of our day program. Its purpose is to provide real work experience for our Ranchers, to grow and harvest usable and saleable produce and, as a long term goal, to provide an alternate source of income for the Ranch and the Ranchers.

We grow vegetables in our garden patch and herbs in our raised beds. All are 100% natural, with no pesticides or preservatives. The vegetables are harvested, frozen and eaten throughout the winter by our staff and Ranchers. The herbs are de-stemmed and sorted, dried, chopped, packaged and sold at local farmer's markets. The Ranchers do everything in this process except make the labels. It's a satisfying process that allows the Ranchers to save money for special trips.

We recently added a new greenhouse to this operation. It will be used as we begin growing and selling bedding plants and starting our herbs earlier for a better crop.
